Have You Decided To Let Him In?

"Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20 KJV Bible)

When Jesus stands at the door and knocks, will you open the door and let Him in or will you turn Him away? Jesus is knocking on your door today. We, at Abide In The True Light, pray that you make the right decision and let the Holy Spirit enter in. Please pray "The Sinner's Prayer" and have a little childlike trust and faith. Confess your sins to God and believe that the Blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, can save.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6 KJV)

After praying "The Sinner's Prayer" and giving your heart to the Lord, you may question and doubt at first and wonder if indeed you have been saved, but in time you will know for sure. When the Holy Spirit enters your heart, you can feel His presence and He reveals His love to you in many ways. He gives you a hunger to learn more about Him. As you begin to read His Holy Word in the King James Version of The Holy Bible, he will replace the emptiness in your soul with the fullness of His peace. Trust Him and you will see.

And always remember: When He was on the cross, YOU were on His mind. Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, loves you.

The Sinner's Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

I come into your presence, acknowledging that I am a sinner, in need of your forgiveness and help. I know that you are the one true God, my Creator. I know that you love me and that is why you sent your precious son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for me, to save my soul from the penalties of sin and to give me everlasting life.

Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." John 5:24

I know that there is only one way into Heaven and that is through the blood of Jesus Christ. His death on Calvary and the blood that He shed opened a way for mankind to be saved from eternal damnation. I believe that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and that he rose from the grave and is alive. I trust that His blood can wash me and cleanse me within.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 KJV Bible)

Almighty God, I need you in my life. I want you to be my everything.

Jesus said, "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3 KJV Bible)

I want to be born again. I want to be made a new person. I want to follow you and walk with you on the straight and narrow road. I want to live in the light of your love and in the truth of your Holy Word.

Jesus said, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." (John 8:12 KJV Bible)

I accept your gift of salvation and I ask you to forgive me for all of my sins. I invite your Holy Spirit to enter into my heart this very moment and dwell within me forevermore. Make me your very own, so that I may someday see your face and live with you in Heaven for all of eternity.

I believe that right now, in your presence, I have been set free from my sins. I believe that you have forgiven me and I believe that I have been born again. I believe that your mighty arms are open, ready to embrace me and to welcome me, as a father would welcome home his wayward child.

I want to know more about you and I want to live the rest of my life in a way that honours you, Lord.

When my life on earth is done, I would long to hear you say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23 KJV Bible). Help me and guide me to do your will, as I begin my journey in this new direction.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your mercy and your love.

In Jesus' name, I pray this, Amen.

Remember, friend, that this prayer is only an example of how you should pray. God does not require an eloquent prayer. He wants sincerity of heart and just a little childlike trust and faith. A simple prayer, with few words, can touch His heart and He hears it and He cares. He loves you. Just believe that He is as close as the very mention of His name. A simple "I Love You, Lord" draws His spirit closer to us. A simple "Thank You" delights our Heavenly Father. He is approachable. He wants you to speak to Him, as you would speak to a close friend. You can tell Him anything. He is the only One who will never fail you or let you down. He says, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." (Hebrews 13:5 KJV Bible) He is yours and you are His. If God created you then He can take care of His own creation. Trust Him and see what He can do for you.

Several important scriptures to note:

Jesus said, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 KJV Bible)

"Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (John 1:29 KJV Bible)

Please note: the Lamb of God represents Jesus Christ.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." (Rom. 10:9-11 KJV Bible)

Just As I Am
Hymn/Lyrics Written By Charlotte Elliot (1835)

Just as I am, without one plea,
But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bidst me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, and waiting not
To rid my soul of one dark blot,
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt,
Fightings and fears within, without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind;
Sight, riches, healing of the mind,
Yea, all I need in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thou wilt receive,
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, Thy love unknown
Hath broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come.

Just as I am, of that free love
The breadth, length, depth, and height to prove,
Here for a season, then above,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

Jesus said, "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one." (John 10:27-30 KJV Bible)

Please note: Jesus said that He and His Father (God) are "One". There are three Divine Persons in one God. The Father (Almighty God who is our Creator), The Son (Jesus Christ who came to earth as God in the flesh), and the Holy Spirit (the invisible spirit of God that indwells the hearts of those who believe). This Trinity is "One". How can this be? God can do anything. "Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?" (Jeremiah 32:27 KJV Bible)
